"Portrait of a Studio" is a 360° panoramic drawing of my studio.
I spent a few months to draw the complete 360 portrait.
I worked daily in 30-minute increments. I worked my way across the paper as I worked my way along the wall.
I drew as much as would fit the paper.
I worked daily in 30-minute increments. I worked my way across the paper as I worked my way along the wall.
I drew as much as would fit the paper.
I drew each object/ incident as I came upon it completing it as I went.
I drew my studio as I would draw a living sitter: in person, and over a period of time.
I set up my drawing table in one spot in the studio and changed direction for each panel one after another.
I drew my studio as I would draw a still life: observing and drawing what's there, not making a composition but trusting in the ready- made arrangement of my things.
