Here a Nerve of Memory Sounded
55'x 31" collograph, etching, 3-d paper, metal, cloth .flowers

Picture
First left panel- "Water-The Fall"

"And when I am formulated, sprawling on a  pin
When I am pinned and wriggling on the wall
How then should I begin
to spit out the butt ends of my days and ways?
And how should I presume?"

The Wasteland T.S. Eliot

Picture
Left Panel -"Fire"

The etching of the Bride Doll.
The hood and cross, suggesting Auto de Fé appeared as graphic elements as I was preparing the plate for aquatint by painting on asphaltum block. I etched it in.
There is lamb's wool, a old fashioned square nail and bee's wax. The brown collograph behind depicts the time I was held up at gunpoint.

Central Panel -The Bride

Third Panel:

The Bride

The Bride is held together by 'silken threads'... of real silk. She has a veil and a bouquet: a Real Bride. Her bouquet is a fungus from Montebello, Qué. Her veil is cheesecloth. The newspaper is the Montreal Mirror.

Right Panel -Place

Fourth Panel: Place

Aquatint etching on Unryu of  Boulevard St Laurent at Rachel.- 'Beacon' lighting store on the corner, 1980, the traffic flow a liquid sight.

My studio, the top of the 2nd to last building on the right above Mrs.Vamos, Ladies Clothing Store.

Right Panel (bottom) & Far Right Panel,(bottom) -Time

Picture

Fifth Panel -Time: left: newspaper sculpture, rusty coat hanger collograph
The cog in the wheel, watch parts, the atom, sign, a rusty coat hanger, a rusty hinge. The Apparition.
The Figure is an etching of another "doll", my first doll. It was pulled off plates for the piece called 'Labyrinth' onto Unryu and 'chined 'in.  The Doll is a reference to the poet Rilke, with his puppets/mannikins/'dummies'.
